The Government is awarding a two phased contract on the AN/ZSQ-2(V1/V2)(Q2) Electro-Optical Sensor System (EOSS). Phase I will troubleshoot a condensation issue experienced in the Turret Sensor Unit (TSU) in the AN/ZSQ-2(V1/V2)(Q2) system. After successful redesign and test of the fix in the TSU under Phase I, Phase II will be added via a separate CLIN for the incorporation of the seal fix into the AN/ZSQ-2(V1/V2)(Q2) systems delivered to the Government. The phase I effort will be cost plus fixed fee (CPFF) and phase II will be firm fixed price (FFP). Quantity of 168 AN/ZSQ-2(V1/V2)(Q2) systems will be affected. Pursuant to FAR 6.302, the intended source is Raytheon Space and Airborne Systems, PO Box 801, M/S 8024, McKinney, TX 75071-2813, the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of the AN/ZSQ-2(V1/V2)(Q2) EOSS. The Government does not own the specifications or drawings to permit full and open competition. Any firms who believes they can support this requirement are encouraged to identify themselves to the Contracting Office who can provide additional information regarding this requirement. Performance of Phase I and II will be at McKinney, TX. Period of performance is anticipated to be 24 months. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.
