The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to enter into sole source negotiations and subsequently award a Firm Fixed Price contract to McDonnell Douglas Corp. (MDC), a Wholly Owned Subsidiary of the Boeing Company for the procurement of up to two hundred ten (210) Stand-off Land Attack Missile- Expanded Response (SLAM-ER) All-Up-Rounds (AUR) missiles in tactical, exercise and training configurations, as well as related equipment, services and documentation during a base with one option year period. A determination by the Government not to compete this effort is solely within the discretion of the Government. GENERAL INFORMATION: McDonnell Douglas Corp. (MDC) is the sole designer, developer and manufacturer of the SLAM-ER weapon system and is the only known firm with the necessary knowledge, technical data, equipment, facilities, and experience with the SLAM-ER missile design, mission planning software, and production and test support equipment to perform this effort within the required timeframe.
