Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to negotiate and award a modification for the effort required to support integration of the Selective Availability Anti-Spoofing Module (SAASM) into the Tomahawk All-Up-Round (AUR) as well as integration of the SAASM-capable AUR into the Tomahawk Weapon System (TWS). Incorporation of SAASM into Tomahawk Block IV missiles requires a redesign of the digital electronics in the missile’s Anti-jam Global Positioning System (GPS) Receiver (AGR) and the requisite integration and testing of the redesigned AGR to ensure it still meets AUR requirements. NAVAIR intends to award this effort to Raytheon Systems Company (RSC), P.O. Box 11337, Tucson, AZ 85734-1337. Since 1994, RSC has been the sole developer, designer, and manufacturer for the Tomahawk AUR. RSC solely possesses the current configuration and manufacturing data for the Tactical Tomahawk missile. RSC currently manages the key requirements, interface, integration, and verification documents of the TWS. Because a detailed knowledge and expertise of the Tactical Tomahawk missile is required to perform this effort, RSC is the only source capable of providing the design, integration, test support and analysis necessary to incorpoate SAASM into the Tomahawk Block IV missile in the required timeframe and without duplication of costs.
