This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation No. W31P4Q-07-P-0578 is being issued as a request for quote; however, the US Army Aviation and Missile Command intends to issue a sole source contract to, North Alabama Compos ites Company Inc., for molded carbon phenolic nozzle insulators. North Alabama Composites hardware has been validated through a developmental test program for this application. Validation of alternate sources would be cost prohibitive to the program. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-09. CLIN 0001 will be issued for ten each: STC-2937 FWD Insulator, nozzle; CLIN 0002 will be issued for ten each: STC-2938 MI D Insulator, nozzle; CLIN 0002 will be issued for ten each: STC-2939 AFT Insulator, nozzle. The place of delivery, acceptance, and FOB point is Commander, US Army RDECOM, Jungerman Rd., Redstone Arsenal, AL 35898, Attn: AMSRD-AMR-PS-AM /Matt Smith. All r esponsible sources may submit an offer, which shall be considered by the Agency, if received by 26 July 2007, noon (CST). Any award resulting from this RFQ will be issued on DD Form 1155 and will contain all clauses required by law, the Federal Acquisitio n Regulation (FAR), and the Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) as appropriate for the dollar value of the award.
