The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to enter into sole source negotiations and subsequently award contracts to Raytheon Technical Services Company (LLC). This contract effort will be for the design and test of the frequency migration including AWW-13 Data Link Pod, hardware items and test equipment required for integration, test and modification. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Unless stated herein, no additional information is available. Requests for the same will be disregarded. A determination by the Government not to compete this effort is solely within the discretion of the Government. GENERAL INFORMATION: Raytheon has the unique position through privatization of the NAWC Indianapolis Facility which developed the AWW-13 Pod to manufacture the required products for this action. Raytheon has the knowledge, experience, and access to the technical data necessary to fulfill the Government?s need and meet its scheduled requirements. Accordingly, Raytheon is the only known qualified, responsible source that can fulfill the requirements specified herein.
