FOR INFORMATION ONLY: The Air Force has received a Supplemental Appropriation of approximately $49 Million for procurement of Lot 5 Maverick Missiles. Option availability for Lots 4, 5, and 6 under Contract F08635-02-C-0137 were previously announced and posted on April 3, 2003. The Contract option for Lot 4 was exercised on May 6, 2003. Sole Source to Raytheon Co. Tucson, AZ for potential purchase of Maverick AGM-65 H/K Guidance and Control Sections, NSN 1427-01-456-0081JB, and Maverick CATM-65K Guidance and Control Sections, NSN 6920-01-480-6359JB. Also included are provisions for follow-on training and support, data, warranties, circuit card assembly harvesting, and technical data package. There is no solicitation available because Raytheon owns necessary data rights and a data package is not available. Prospective subcontractors are encouraged to contact the Prime contractor. This notice does not indicate that the USAF has agreed on specific timeline for negotiating and or exercising contract lot options 5,6. Contract options associated with lots 5 and 6 do not yet have specific quantities therefore the dollar amounts stated in this brief are speculative. The Air Force has estimated the value of lots 5 and 6 combined, if they are exercised and/or awarded, at $75 Million.
