The Program Manager for Ammunition, Marine Corps Systems Command, Quantico, VA, intends to award Delivery Orders against Contract M67854-06-D-1027 to NICO-PYROTECHNIK, Germany, for the following items: 1) Cartridge, 40MM, Practice, Mk281 Mod 0 (DODIC: BA12); and 2) Cartridge, 40MM, Practice, Day and Night Marker, Mk281 Mod 1 (DODIC: BA21). This announcement is in response to a U.S. Army, PM-Maneuver Ammunition Systems requirement for these items. The Delivery Orders will be placed within the FY07 and FY08 periods of performance on the existing Marine Corps IDIQ contract. The estimated quantity required by the U.S. Army is 2,200,000 training cartridges with the value of these Delivery Orders expected to be $60,000,000.00. This notice of this intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. All proposals received within fourteen (14) days after date of publicatio! n of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open basis is solely within the discretion of the Government. Please refer to Numbered Note 22.
