The following is a synopsis for commercial items prepared in accordance with Simplified Acquisition Procedures, and supplemental information included in this notice. The Government intends to procure on a sole source basis to Oto Melara North America, Inc, 1625 I Street NW STE 1200 Washington, DC, 20006-4061, Qty 2 Mono Block Barrels for 76MM Gun Testing. The basis of the sole source is the need for commonality with existing hardware. The contract shall be a firm fixed price order. Delivery shall be made to the Naval Surface Warfare Center, 17320 Dahlgren Road, Dahlgren VA 22448. Offer is due 22 November 2006 no later than 2 p.m. (EST) to: Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, 17320 Dahlgren Road, Building 183, Room 102, Dahlgren, VA 22448-5100 CODE XDS117, with faxed copies acceptable at 540-653-7088. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, Dahlgren Laboratory Procurement Division has implemented Electronic Commerce (EC) in the acquisition arena; therefore, this synopsis/solicitation with any applicable amendments will be available on the World Wide Web at Http://www.nswc.navy.mil/wwwDL/XD/SUPPLY/. Vendors should regularly access the NSWCDD web site to ensure that they have downloaded all amendments. In order to be eligible for award firms must be registered in the Central Contractor Registry (CCR). Vendors may obtain information on registration in the CCR by calling 1-888-227-2423, or via the Internet at http://www.ccr.gov. Please note that defense payment office may not make payment unless the contractor is established to receive electronic funds transfer (EFT). EFT payments are based on the contractor’s EFT information contained in the CCR database.
