The US Army TACOM is contemplating procuring a qualified proprietary high fragmentation fuze (FMU 160/B) for the US Special Operations Command (USSOCOM). The fuze/projectile will be fired from a modified M137 105mm cannon that is mounted in the AC-130 Gunship. The government intends to award a sole source contract to KDI Corporation, Cincinnati, OH, under the authority of 10 USC 2304(c)(1), as authorized by, FAR 6.302-1 Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements.
