The Sources Sought notice is amended as follows:
1. This market survey is designed to seek out existing armor piercing capabilities. It is not intended to promote new business or for suppliers to invest or develop new capabilities but rather evaluate existing products. As such, a performance specification will not be supplied.
2. The government currently has M995 in inventory, therefore there will be no need for further procurement. If any interested source has an existing product that is different that the current M995, the government will be interested in receiving information regarding that product as requested in the initial sources sought notice and amendment 0001 to the notice.
3. The governments intent is to issue purchase orders for armor piercing cartridges that are different from the existing M995. If purchase orders are awarded the government will likely expect delivery of such ammunition within 60 days of award.
4. The performance specification would not specify a specific material design but rather would define a needed capability.
5. The sources sought notice closing date is being extended to 13 June 2008.
