Sealed proposals for the construction of the 12TH AND FINNEGAN MULTIMODAL SAFETY IMPROVEMENTS ES566 project, will be received by the City of Bellingham, 210 Lottie Street, Bellingham, Washington, 98225 at the Purchasing Office until November 26, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., and thereafter will be publicly opened and read. The improvement consists of: This Contract provides for the improvement of the 12th Street and Finnegan Way Corridor with a flashing crosswalk at 12th/McKenzie between Chuckanut Square senior housing and the Haggen grocery store, a full traffic signal at 12th/Mill/Finnegan, 335 LF of sidewalk along west side of Finnegan Way, and a flashing crosswalk at 11th/Finnegan Way and other work, all in accordance with the attached Contract Plans, these Contract Provisions, and the Standard Specifications. All proposals must be on the Bid Proposal form provided by the City of Bellingham and must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, cash, money order or bid bond payable to the Finance Director in an amount equal to or exceeding five percent (5%) of the total bid. No other form of bid security is acceptable. The right is reserved to postpone making the award for a reasonable length of time, to reject any and all bids, or to waive irregularities not affecting substantial rights.
