Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) is soliciting bids to provide UXO escort and Anomaly Avoidance support during the geotechnical boring activities. TPWD is currently under contract for the design of a capital construction project at Perry R. Bass Marine Fisheries Research Station (PR Bass), a facility operated by the Coastal Fisheries Division of TPWD. The project has two components: Facility Redevelopment - (Component 1) and Intake Structure (Component 2). Both project components are on new land acquisitions identified as on or adjacent to known Formerly Used Defense Sites (FUDS). As part of the design process, TPWD’s Prime Architect / Engineering consultant, Lockwood Andrews Newnam (LAN) has contracted with Tolunay-Wong Engineers, Inc. to do marine and land geotechnical borings. TPWD is requesting a proposal to provide UXO escort and Anomaly Avoidance support during the geotechnical boring activities.
