The Contracts Department of Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, San Diego (FISCSD) intends to solicit and negotiate on a sole source basis in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, “Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements”, with Trijicon, Inc., 49385 Shafer Avenue, Wixom, MI 48393. The Contractor shall provide 217 each weapon scopes Model TR21, 1.25-4 x 24 BAC with amber reticule. FISCSD intends to award a firm fixed price type contract for the required scopes. This action is being processed utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures for commercial items/services under FAR Part 12. This is not a request for quote or an announcement of a forthcoming solicitation. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to compete the requirement among the manufacturer and distributors. A determi! nation by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
