The items to be purchase are 12 EA IZLID 1000-P lasers manufactured by B.E. Meyers.General performance requirements: IR Laser pointer/illuminator. Produces a 1-milliradiam pinpoint dot or a wide field illumination (26-milliradiam). Has azimuth adjustment and elevation adjustments with a ?- milliradiam per click. Allows mounting to SOFLAM, .50CAL HBMG, or M-240 machine gun. Water proof to 70 feet. Laser output power of 1 watt. Output power from optical lens: Low: 500mW, High: 900mw, Pluse: 900mW @ 3-4 Hz. This is a notice to issue sole source purchase order/contract to B.E. Meyers & Co. INC, 17525 NE 67th Court, Redmond , WA 98052-4939. Offerors who can furnish items with the same salient characteristics as listed above may submit, in writing, a proposal substantiated by technical data, brochures, pictures, etc? to include pricing data / information (FOB Destination). All responses must be received by the Contracting Officer by 17 May 2002. No telephone requests will be accepted. Requests for a solicitation will be considered nonresponsive. All responses from responsible sources submitting the required information will be fully considered. As a result to analyzing responses to this synopsis of intent, the Contracting Officer may determine that the action may be competed with resulting in award under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Responsible firms responding to this synopsis will be considered if the action is competed. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
