The proposed contract action is one for supplies or service for which theGovernment intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The intended source is Heckler & Koch Defense Inc.CAGE 3HN73, 19980 Highland Vista Drive, Ashburn, VA 20147. The items to beprocured are 45 each of an estimated 95 unique and various spare parts to support initial fielding of the M320/M320A1 Grenade Launcher. The M320/M320A1grenade launcher was Type Classified Standard (STD) by the US Army on 6 November 2008. These items are proprietary to Heckler & Koch Defense Inc.Heckler & Koch is the only supplier of these items and the only supplier that can provide the government with these fully interchangeable spare parts in support of First Unit Equipped (FUE) actions scheduled to begin in 2nd QtrFY09.Estimated issue date of RFQ is 29 Jan 09. This RFQ will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.502 and FAR 5.102; therefore,hard copies will not be provided.
