The Office of the Program Manager, Joint Lightweight 155mm Howitzer is seeking sources for a tactical trainer for the M198 155mm Towed Howitzer and the M777A1 Lightweight 155mm Towed Howitzer. The trainer is expected to reduce (but not eliminate) the requirement to fire live ammunition when training crews on the operation of the systems. The trainer will increase crew readiness and proficiency while reduce the training time, ammunition requirements and the overall cost of crew training. Interested parties may contact John W.
