The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 for specific weapon maintenance support. The intended source is Barrett Firearms Manufacturing Inc., CAGE 0BT64, 5926 Miller Lane, Christiana TN 37037-5612. The proposed action is contractor maintenance support of the M107 Sniper Rifle used by individual warfighters. The M107 Sniper Rifle is proprietary to Barrett Firearms. As the original equipment manufacturer, Barrett Firearms is the only source that can maintain the M107 Sniper Rifle. The intent of this proposed action is to add $141,000 in funding to be used exclusively for the maintenance of the M107 Sniper Rifle. This funding will be added to existing contract W52H09-04-C-0192 via contract modification.

Estimated issue date of this proposed contract modification is 3 September 2009.
