The U.S. Army TACOM-Picatinny is announcing its intention for a sole source contract to Alliant techsystem (ATK), 3309 North Reseda Circle, Mesa, AZ 85215 for a 50mm Mann Barrel system. This Mann barrel will be used in support of the Extended Area Protection and Survivability (EAPS) program. EAPS is a joint Advanced Technology Office (ATO) with Aviation & Missile Research Development & Engineering Center (AMRDEC) and Army Research Laboratory (ARL) to develop and demonstrate advanced air defense technologies to counter the Rockets, Artillery, Mortors (RAM)threat. The Government anticipates awarding the sole source contract in April 2006. All information is to be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government.
