The subject requirement is for the acquisition of 10 NSNs with various item descriptions and end items. The major FSCs of this requirement are: 1005 and 1015. The requirement will result in an award of an Indefinite Delivery Type Contract for which Delivery Orders may be placed for one (1) year. The proposed procurement contains an option to extend the contract period one or more times at the discretion of the government. The total duration (base plus option years) shall not exceed 5 years. See Note: 26. The solicitation will be available in FedBizOpps on its issue date of February 10 2006 at the DLA DIBBS Website (https://www.dibbs/bsm.dla.mil/RFP). The Small Business size standard is 500 employees. Some drawings cited are subject to export-control regulations and distribution is limited to those contractors qualified through JCP certification. Contracts will be awarded only to those contractors with JCP Certification issued prior to an award. This acquisition is for supplies for which the Government does not posses complete, unrestrictive technical data; therefore, the Government intends to solicit and contract with only approved sources under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1). While price may be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final award decision will be based upon a combination of price, delivery, past performance and other evaluation factors as described in the solicitation.
