NASA/NSSC has a requirement for (1) Custom 12" Uniform Source Sphere for operation in TVAC, 5" exit port and Spectralon liner. Includes (4) source ports with heat straps,
(2) detector ports, and 80/20 framework.  This procurment is for the NASA PACE Ocean Color Instrument Project.

NASA/NSSC intends to issue a Sole Source contract to Labsphere, Inc. 231 Shaker St., North Sutton, New Hampshire, 03260, under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i).
It has been determined that Labsphere, Inc. is the Sole provider of specialized Instrument.

NASA/NSSC will be procuring for this effort.  Performance will be located in Greenbelt, Maryland.  Delivery Date by 06/01/2018.

Interested organization may submit their capabilities and qualification to perform the 
effort in writing to the identified point of contact no later than March 12, 2018.  Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for purpose of dtermining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis.  A determination by the Government not to compete thiis prosed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely with the decretion of the government.
