The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ intends to negotiate on a Limited Sole Source basis with WireCo World Group, Inc. of Saint Joseph, MO, Canadian Commercial Corporation / Wire Rope Industries LTD of Pointe-Claire, Quebec, Canada, and Wirerope Works Inc. of Sunbury, PA. for a Fixed Price Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract for the procurement of 1-1/4" diameter Wire Rope (P/N A92791-34-3060) during the two (2) year IDIQ with the ability to order up to 50 units in support of the NAVAIR Prototype, Manufacture Division (PMD).

The Government intends to procure the above items under the authority of 10 USC 3204 (c) (1), FAR 8.405-6 (b). The Government owns the technical drawings, specifications, and data rights for the 1-1/4" diameter Wire Rope (P/N A92791-34-3060), however these three companies are the only approved sources for this Critical Safety Item. A determination by the Government, not to open the requirement to competition based upon the response to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
