Special Notice Notice of intent to award sole source Prefab Squeeze Chute: The Bureau of Land Management, Rawlins, Wyoming, intends to award on a sole source basis with Flying W Inc., Watonga, Oklahoma. The contractor will produce specialty squeeze chutes to assist in the handling of wild horses and burros. This uniquely qualified expert has designed, produced and constructed the squeeze chutes and during operation, modifications were made to the design and construction of the chutes to fix flaws incurred during the testing phase. This demonstrates vastly more knowledge of the specific type of squeeze chutes required to handle the wild horses and burros than any other potential sources. No solicitation package will be available. No telephone or fax requests will be accepted. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Detailed capabilities must be submitted no later than May 2, 2012. The North American Industry Classification for this procurement is 333111.
