NA The US Army Robert Morris Acquisition Center, Natick Contracting Division, in support of the U.S. Army Research, Development and Engineering Command (USA RDECOM), intends to conduct negotiations and award a purchase order to ArmorWorks, Inc., 7306 S. Harl Ave, Tempe, AZ 85283-4365 on the basis of other than full and open competition in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 6.302-1 and FAR Part 13.5 . The NAICS Code is 335991. The standard business size is 750. The Small Arms Protective Inserts (SAPI) Program Manager has an urgent requirement to procure SAPIs for test and evaluation purposes in an effort to maximize protec tion to our soldiers in the field. This procurement is for the acquisition of twenty-five (25) Small Arms Protective Inserts (SAPI) from ArmorWorks, Inc. a small business and an approved supplier of this item. This acquisition is for test and evaluation purposes. ArmorWorks, Inc. is one of several approved producer of the U.S. Army’s SAPI plates that are currently being used in the Interceptor Body Armor System. For this particular acquisition, only producers of the Army’s currently approved SAPI plates shall provide samples for test and evaluation purposes. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTATIONS.
