DESCRIPTION:In accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 5, this synopsis is posted for the United States Department of the Interior (DOI) Minerals Management Service (MMS) Acquisition Activity, Contracting Office for this procurement. This synopsis is to announce the Governments intent to award a sole source to University of Texas at Austin, in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy Agencys requirements. (MMS) Acquisition Activity anticipates awarding a contract to University of Texas at Austin, TX to support MMS FY10 GeoForce Program Participation through University of Texas at Austin. The anticipated total value of this procurement is estimated to be approximately $50,000. Anticipated award date is no later than 15 March 2010. This is NOT a request for competitive proposals. The intent of this Special Notice is for informational purposes only. However, any and all information received by the point of contact (POC) listed below; by close of business 8 March 2010 will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this action based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
