The overall goal of the program is to design, develop, convert, and implement a hybrid M1A1/M1A2/M1A2 SEP tank with defined capabilities to increase the vehicles lethality while limiting obsolescence issues.

The engineering is an effort to design and develop a KSA M1A2S configuration, while incorporating key components/capabilities. The engineering phase shall encompass converting, testing, and qualifying four (4) vehicles consisting of 2 US M1A1s (10/20 standard), 1 US M1A2 and 1 KSA M1A2, to the KSA M1A2S configuration.
