U.S. Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity intends to award to Qiagen Inc a Purchase Order for the procurement of equipment used to isolate DNA and RNA from tissues and blood. This hardware/software is used in current testing and to use another brand would result in loss of previous data and would need to be repeated on a new machine. The government believes that Qiagen Inc is the only vendor that has the BioRobot M48 equipment needed for isolation of DNA and RNA that would meet USAMRIIDs uniq ue requirements. This is not a request for proposal. Responsible Vendors who can provide similar services that meet or exceed the required specifications above can submit their technical capabilities including complete technical specifications and price to the Contract Specialist, Ms. [email protected] by noon September 19, 2005. This information will be used only to determine if this requirement can be competed in the future.
