The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Office of Enforcement and Compliance Assurance (OECA), under the authority of the Federal Acquisition Rules (FAR) Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, intends to issue a sole source purchase order to LECO Corporation for purchase of an upgrade for a current Pagasus III instrument to a Pegasus HT system. NO SOLICITATION OR REQUEST FOR QUOTE IS AVAILABLE. LECO Corporation is the only supplier who can provide the needed upgrade services which include testing and uninstalling the instrument, performing the electronics upgrade, performing the hardware upgrades, and reinstalling the Pegasus TOF/MS. Notwithstanding, any firm who believes it is capable of meeting EPA's requirement as stated herein may submit a response, which if received within 5 calendar days of the date of this announcement, will be considered. Responses to this posting must be in writing. A determination not to compete the proposed Purchase Order based upon the responses is solely within the discretion of the Government.
