NA USACE, Engineer Research and Development Center, WES, proposes to award a contract to Kinemetrics, Inc., Pasadena, CA, under authority 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1) to furnish and delivery FIVE(5) each Model Etna (18-bits), High Dynamic Range Accelerograph, with I nternal Triaxial EpiSensor Accelerometer deck (2g full scale range-standard), with 16 Mbytes SanDisk removable PCMCIA flash memory card, with 12 Amp-hour internal battery(s) and charger, with internal modem ready capability, with operation manual and calib ration data for each Accelerograph, with support software Quicklook and Quicktalk for Windows; ONE(1) Model Etna, High Dynamic Range Accelerograph (18-bit), with Internal Triaxial EpiSensor Accelerometer Desk,(2 g full scale range-standard), with 16 Mbyte SanDisk removable PCMCIA flash memory card, with 12 Amp-hour internal battery(s) and charger, with internal PCMCIA 56K baud modem option, with Interconnect boards option, with operation manual and calibration data for each Accelerograph, with support soft ware Quicklook and Quicktalk for Windows; ONE(1) 16 MB PCMCIA Memory Card; ONE(1) PCMCIA 56K baud modem. Kinemetrics is the only company who manufactures a fully self-contained, three channel, digital recording, strong-motion accelerograph containing elec tronics, triaxial force balance type accelerometers (with external sensor input provision) battery power, and with solid state internal memory data storage or removable PCMCIA flash memory card, all in a watertight enclosure. Not only does Kinemetrics own all patents and marketing rights to this system but also this is the only system compatible with existing equipment.
