This purchase request is for the procurement of use of Health and Fitness facilities. Period of Performance: 01 February 2008 through 30 September 2008. The Contractor shall provide all labor, supplies, equipment, transportation, and materials necess ary to perform the work and services in accordance with the following Scope of Work: The contractor must provide health and fitness facilities designed to promote better health and physical fitness for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Detroit District emp loyees. The contractor shall provide these services for approximately 50 Corps employees. The contract shall initially be for eight (8) months with two options years.


FACILITY PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

1. The contractor must have facilities that are clean, sanitary, and operated primarily for health and physical fitness. The contractor must also have facilities to meet the geographic requirements of the employees of the Detroit District, 477 Michigan Avenue, Detroit, MI 48226.

2. The Facility shall incorporate as a minimum, the following capabilities:

a. A variety of strength training methods with both free-weight and stationary devices, e.g., Nautilus, Universal;

b. A variety of aerobic equipment for increasing cardio/ vascular/pulmonary fitness, e.g., treadmills, elliptical runners, stationary bikes, stair machines;

c. Showers, lockers and change rooms
