This is Notice of Intent to award a Sole Source, Follow-on, GSA Task Order to Versar, Inc. of Columbia, MD to perform environmental monitoring to assess the biological impacts of the Hurricane Protection and Beach Erosion Control Project, Dare County Beaches (Bodie Island Portion), Dare County, NC. Monitoring efforts will include fisheries and benthos at the sand borrow sites and fisheries, benthos, water birds and recreational fishing monitoring at the nourished beaches. Versar, Inc. began preconst ruction monitoring in the spring of 2004, and has completed over one and a half years of that monitoring. The draft first year report is near completion. See Note 22.
