This is a notice of intent, not a request for a proposal. A solicitation document will not be issued and proposals will not be requested. The National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA), Intramural Research Program (IRP) intends to solicit, negotiate and award a purchase order on a noncompetitive basis with OEM Laser Systems, Inc., 2843 E. Grand River Avenue, #302, East Lansing, MI 48823. The National Institute on Drug Abuse requires the following items: Qty 1 each - BL-473-00150-CWM-SD-05-LED-0 150mW 473nm DPSS Laser System with LED Display, current adjustment, key switch safety, remote interlock, 5% power stability. Qty 2 each - YL-593-00150-CWM-SD-05-LED-F 150mW 593, 5nm DPSS Laser System with LED Display, current adjustment, key switch safety, remote interlock, 5% power stability. The acquisition is being conducted under simplified acquisition FAR 13 and is exempt from the requirements of FAR Part 6, Competition Requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities in response to this notice. The determination by the Government not to compete the proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely with the discretion of the Government.
