This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.
FA8524-25-Q-0006 is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). This acquisition is not a small businmess set-aside.
The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular.
This requirement is for the procurement of the Gate Valve, NSN 4820-00-991-3255, PN 205-060-612-3 (ITT Aerospace P/N AV16B1667D), applicable to the UH-1N. The Gate Valve is a military unique item. This acquisition will result in a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) one time buy contract with ITT Aerospace Controls LLC., with a projected period of performance from 30 September 2025 through 30 September 2026.
The Gate Valve is applicable to the UH-1N helicopter and is a commercial item. It is a Motor Operated Fuel Shutoff Valve that is part of the Filter Fuel System Installation of the TH-1H and UH-1N ACFTs. The fuel shutoff valves open or close to control the flow of fuel to the engines. Power is supplied to these valves by the essential bus through circuit breakers.

The only manufacturer of this item is ITT Aerospace Controls, LLC (Cage 73760). This item has a Bell Textron INC. drawing, however ITT Aerospace Controls is the only vendor listed on the drawing. This buy will allow the United States Air Force (USAF) Special Operations program to meet its mission.
Given this acquisition meets the definition of a commercial item and there is pricing history available, use of a Firm Fixed Price
contract type was deemed the most appropriate contract type for execution of this acquisition. This contract type should result
in best value/lowest risk to the Government. Because the total value of this procurement is below the Simplified Acquisition Threshold (SAT), FAR Part 13, which governs Simplified Acquisition Procedures, is applicable. A Sole Source One-Time Buy contract, compliant with FAR Part 16 (Types of Contracts), will be utilized. The Government does not own any data or data rights.

Funding will be provided at the time of the one-time buy as a purchase order.

The approximate issue date of solicitation 26 June 2025. The RFQ and applicable clause attachment will be available for viewing and downloading at www.SAM.gov only. No telephone or fax requests will be honored. NO HARD COPIES WILL BE ISSUED. Approximate response due date will be 26 July 2025. Award date is anticpated for 17 August 2025.
