Subject to conditions prescribed by the University of California, Los Angeles, responses to the University's prequalification documents for a lump sum contract are sought from prospective prime contractor bidders (hereafter “bidders”) for the following project: The Department of Orthodontics at the School of Dentistry (SOD) proposes to renovate and reconfigure Offices A0-121, A0-121A, A0-121B, and A2-122; Storage Rooms A0-117B and A2-122A; Restrooms A0-119A, A0-119B, and A0-119C; Vestibule A2-130; Atrium A0-119UE; Corridor A0-119 and a portion of Corridor A0-115, all located on Level A of the SOD building, to meet current operational needs. The renovation area, totaling approximately 2,505 gsf (1,223 asf), would accommodate a new dental clinic, including a reception area, open clinic space, calming and quiet treatment rooms, a sterilization room, storage, and a mechanical support room for dental equipment. A new all-gender restroom would also be provided. The SOD is a 210,189 gsf (122,243 asf) eight-story building, plus two basement levels, constructed in 1966. The project scope includes the interior demolition of existing partitions, ceilings, and floorings; installation of new partitions, ceilings, and flooring; new interior finishes; installation and anchorage of equipment; upgrades and modifications to the exterior atrium landscaping; and upgrades and modifications to the mechanical, electrical, plumbing, lighting, fire sprinkler, and fire alarm systems to support the new program.
