The County of Riverside Purchasing Department on behalf of Riverside County Probation Department (RCP) is seeking proposals from qualified bidders to provide programs able to offer youth (aged 0 – 25) and their families services that will assist them with their needs as well as support. BACKGROUND The Juvenile Justice Crime Prevention Act (JJCPA) was created by the Crime Prevention Act of 2000 to provide a stable funding source for local juvenile justice programs anticipated to reduce crime and delinquency among at promise youth; youth who have been released from a juvenile detention facility or who are under the supervision of the County of Riverside Probation Department, or any other youth with concerns of becoming involved in juvenile delinquency. An emphasis has been placed on utilizing programs that resulted in lower crime rates among juveniles; such programs have included intense family interventions, after-school programs for at promise teens, educational assistance, life-skills training, gang and truancy prevention, job skills development and diversion programs. State law compels that counties provide programs that have demonstrated effectiveness in reducing delinquency. Funding for Services – The contract award from this RFP is California State funded for (3) years from contract execution with two renewal year options . This RFP will remain open until 8/28/2025; however, bids will be evaluated 60 days after the RFP release date and Quarterly thereafter for tentative contract award(s).
