The Embassy of the United States of America in Copenhagen, Denmark awarded a sole source purchase order to Hotel NH Collection Copenhagen (NH Strandgade Aps) for the provision of hotel accommodations, parking, and event space in support of the visit of an official Congressional Delegation (CODEL). The services provided under this contract included hotel rooms for Members of Congress and their support staff, on-site parking, and meeting/event space.
This award was made on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 6.302-2, Unusual and Compelling Urgency. Due to significant security considerations associated with the visit, the requirement could not be publicly advertised or competed in advance without compromising the safety and integrity of the mission. The location of the hotel was a critical factor in the selection, offering proximity to required venues and ensuring the security of the delegation.
Hotel NH Collection Copenhagen was uniquely capable of meeting all required logistical and security parameters on short notice. The hotel offered room rates within the U.S. Government’s authorized per diem, met the requirements of the Hotel and Motel Fire Safety Act of 1990, and had immediate availability to support the mission-critical nature of this visit.
This notice is being issued in accordance with FAR 5.207(c)(15) to publicly announce the use of other than full and open competition after the conclusion of the requirement. This posting is for informational purposes only and is not a request for competitive offers.
