The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) George C. Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC) plans to issue a Draft Request for Proposal (DRFP) for Next Generation Scalable Data Engineering, Operations, and Informatics Support for Open Science (Next Gen). The solicitation number for this acquisition is 80MSFC24R0005. This acquisistion was previously synopsized under the title 80MSFCNGOSDAPVS on June 6, 2023. The purpose of this acquisition is to acquire research and development services and related services to ensure that Inter-Agency Implementation and Advanced Concepts Team (IMPACT) maintains cutting-edge leadership in science informatics, machine learning/artificial intelligence, science data systems, and domain science services for IMPACT. The contractor will provide scientific research and development support services on IMPACT projects to include:

This solicitation is anticipated to be a total small business set-aside.
The NAICS Code and Size Standard are 541715 Research and Development in the Physical, Engineering, and Life Sciences except Nanotechnology and Biotechnology and 1,000 employees, respectively.
The anticipated release date of the DRFP is on or about July 18, 2024, and a final RFP on or about September 5, 2024, with an anticipated offer due date of on or about October 10, 2024. NASA/MSFC will either provide a proposal briefing with the DRFP or conduct a virtual industry day prior to release of the final RFP.
All responsible sources meeting the set-aside requirements may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.
