Facility 703 is an existing administrative office building situated between Dodd Boulevard, Ward Road, and Andrews Street in the historic area of Joint Base Langley- Eustis in Hampton, Virginia. The gross area of the building’s footprint is approximately 13,650 square feet. The total square footage of the building is 54,600 and includes a basement and three floors. The building houses administrative offices and support spaces on the first, second, and third floors. The building’s basement is currently unoccupied and unfinished. During the life of the facility an elevator addition has been constructed near the center of the original building to comply with accessibility requirements.
The scope of work for this project is to include exterior improvements to the building. Work includes selective roof repair, replacement of all downspouts and gutters, exterior masonry repairs to include pointing and pre-cast concrete panel repairs. Windows at the basement level will be replaced. Exterior site work includes selective demolition of the existing landscaping, creating a new muster pad adjacent the main entrance walks, new basement subgrade waterproofing with perimeter foundation drainage, storm drainage to capture the new downspouts, and a new fire service waterline to serve the facility. New ancillary concrete stoops and landings shall be constructed at the new egress points from the renovated facility.
The Magnitude of Construction Project: Estimated between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00 (See Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 36.204(f)).
