Army Contracting Command - Rock Island (ACC-RI) is investigating the market capability to provide Sapphire Fire Suppresion system Maintenance and Services in accordance with:
Contract must meet or exceed the following requirements:
- Technicians must be trained on Sapphire Suppression System maintenance and repair.
- Fire protection systems shall be designed in accordance with NFPA 2001 and Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) 3-601-02; Fire Protection Systems, Inspection, Testing, And Maintenance.
- The system repairs and maintenance must be operable to mitigate a fire if it were to ignite in Room 161A.
- The Sapphire Fire Suppression in NEC RIA B. 350, 1st floor, Room 161A, 162, and 162A system must be repaired to full functionality, and verified that enough chemical to ensure the entirely of the space is protected in the event of an emergency.
- In B. 350, 1st floor, room 161A must have necessary parts repaired so the system can fire (1-Suppression release peripheral, 1-Coil supervision module, 1-Maintenance bypass switch, 1-Retest System, and 1-Labor to install).
- The unit will require an adequate volume of Novec 1230 to protect the room with a 4.5% design concentration to suppress a fire for energized electrical equipment per NFPA 2001. The system must have: 1-Tank with 79lbs. of Novec 1230, 1-Bracket, 1-Nozzle, 1-Pneumatic Actuator, 1-Discharge piping, 1-Engineering, and 1-Labor to install.
- In B. 350, 1st floor, room 162, this room currently does not have enough Novec 1230 to protect the room. The room must have a 4.5 % design concentration to suppress a fire for energized equipment per NFPA 2001. The following is needed: 1-Tank with 105lbs. of Novec 1230, 1-Bracket, 3-Nozzle’s, 1-Pneumatic Actuator, 1-Discharge piping, 1-Engineering, and 1-Labor to install.
- In B. 350, 1st floor, room 162A, needs enough Novec 1230 to protect the room. The room must have a 4.5% design concentration to suppress a fire for energized electrical equipment per NFPA 2001. The following is needed: 1-Tankwith 167 lbs. of Novec 1230, 1-Bracket, 3-Nozzle’s, 1-Pneumatic Actuator, 1-Discharge piping, 1-Engineering, and 1-Labor to install.
