The purpose of this document is to provide interested parties with information to enable them to prepare and submit a proposal for Domestic Abuse Children’s Programming. The goals of the Domestic Abuse Children’s Programming are to: • promote the safety, well-being, and resilience of children and youth who have been exposed to domestic abuse or who are victims of teen dating violence; • strengthen the bond between protective parents and children/youth and to heal the damage that has been caused by domestic abuse; • to provide trauma-informed, family-centered services to children, youth and protective parents. Children’s Programming intentionally link services for children and youth with those provided to their protective parents in domestic abuse programs. Therefore, proposals are limited to organizations (nonprofit corporations, public agencies, or tribal government) that have a primary focus on providing domestic abuse services to adult survivors. This may include organizations currently receiving contracts from the Department of Children and Families (DCF) for domestic abuse programs, contracts from another state or federal agency for domestic abuse services, or “emerging” domestic abuse programs seeking to expand services. The State as represented by DCF intends to use the results of this Request for Grant Proposal (RFP) to award multiple contracts for Domestic Abuse Children’s Programming. Questions should be submitted as described in the RFP Document section 1.6. Do not submit questions through eSupplier.
