ADVERTISEMENT FOR BID Separate written sealed BIDS for a General Contract for the furnishing of all labor and materials for the construction of: APPLERIDGE LIFT STATION GENERATOR REPLACEMENT will be received by the Mayor and Board of Aldermen of the CITY OF BRANDON herein after called the OWNER at the office of the: CITY CLERK, CITY OF BRANDON, BRANDON CITY HALL 1000 MUNICIPAL DRIVE BRANDON, MS 39042 Until 10:30am local time on Tuesday, July 15, 2025 and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud for supplying all labor, equipment and materials necessary for completion of the Appleridge Lift Station Generator Replacement project. Bidders must be qualified under Mississippi State Law and show Certificate of Responsibility issued by the Mississippi State Board of Public Contractors. Project scope includes, but is not limited to, removal and replacement of backup generator located at the Appleridge Lift Station, and all other associated work required to complete all as shown and specified in the plans and contract documents. The DRAWINGS, SPECIFICATIONS AND CONTRACT DOCUMENTS may be examined at the following locations: 1. City of Brandon, 1000 Municipal Drive, Brandon, MS 39042 2 Benchmark Engineering & Surveying, LLC, 101 Highpointe Court, Suite B, Brandon, MS 39042 Copies of the BIDDING DOCUMENTS may be obtained at BENCHMARK ENGINEERING & SURVEYING, LLC upon payment of One Hundred Fifty Dollars ($150) per set – none of which is refundable. No partial documents will be issued. Bid Security in the amount of 5% of the bid must accompany each bid in accordance with the INTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS. Attorneys-in-fact who sign Bid Bonds, Payment Bonds or Performance Bonds must file with each bond a certified and effective dated copy of their Power of Attorney. Minority and Woman Owned Business Enterprises are solicited to bid on this contract as prime contractors and are encouraged to make inquiries regarding potential subcontracting opportunities, equipment, material and/or supply needs. No prospective CONTRACTOR may withdraw his proposal within SIXTY (60) DAYS after the actual date of the opening thereof. Each bidder shall write the Certificate of Responsibility number and Mississippi Contractors License number on the outside of the sealed envelope containing his proposal. Proposals shall be submitted in duplicate, sealed and deposited with the City Clerk prior to the hour and date designated above.
