The Western Area Power Administration (WAPA, Rocky Mountain Region (RMR) has a requirement for a Contractor to provide labor, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, and other resources necessary to complete this project. Alcova-Boysen Thermopolis-Worland Tap OPGW project will install 121 miles of overhead fiber network as an overhead ground wire on existing transmission line segments between Alcova substation and Worland Tap. This project will provide redundant communication paths between critical substations, high speed data transmission between remote WAPA facilities and serve as a data transmission and Supervisory Control and Data (SCADA) backbone between WAPA regional service areas linking Wyoming to adjacent states.
