Stone County, MS (G-NR-E) You are hereby invited to submit a sealed bid for “Stone County Correctional Facility Ventilation Alterations” for work at the Stone County Correctional Facility at 1420 Industrial Park Rd., Wiggins, MS 39577. Bids will be received from contractors at the conference room in the City Hall Conference Room located at the City Hall, 323 E Cavers Ave, Wiggins, MS, 39577 until 10:00 A.M., Monday, July 7, 2025, and then publicly opened and read aloud. In accordance with the plans and specifications prepared by: Stephens Mechanical LLC 925 Tommy Munro Dr., Ste B Biloxi, MS 39532 Single stipulated sum bids will be received for all work required by the Contract Documents in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Instructions to Bidders, Form of Bid, Form of Contract Bond, Drawings, Specifications and other Contract Documents may be viewed and obtained from www.stonecountymsbids.com. For questions regarding the website, obtaining documents or submitting electronic bids, bidders may contact Plan House at 228-248-0181. Contractors may submit a bid through www.stonecountymsbids.comelectronically in lieu of paper bids, but it is not required. All written proposals must be on file with the Stone County Board of Supervisors prior to the opening time as stated above. All proposals must be sealed and clearly marked on the outside of the envelope as indicated for “Stone County Correctional Facility Ventilation Alterations”, not to be opened until July 7, 2025.” Envelopes not so marked are submitted at the risk of the Bidder and the Stone County Board of Supervisors assumes no responsibility for the premature opening of same by any City employee. A Pre-Bid Conference Schedule will be announced for the previous week prior to bid. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities and to reject any or all bids. Each bidder must deposit with his bid, security in the amount, form and subject to the conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders. Performance and Payment Bonds will be required from the successful bidder. Bidders shall comply with law of the State of Mississippi requiring Certificate of Responsibility. Resident contractors shall, in accordance with laws of the State of Mississippi, be granted preference over non-residents in the award of this contract in the same manner and to the same extent as provided by the laws of the state of domicile of the non-resident. A non-resident contractor shall attach to his proposal a copy of his resident state's current law pertaining to such state's treatment of non-resident contractors.
